What happens when we begin to question the narratives we have long accepted—reconsidering how stories are constructed, whose voices shape them, and what might emerge when we take another, closer look? How are histories constructed—and how might they look different when we ask new questions?

These questions lie at the heart of Paris’s current project, A New Story of Art: a narrative history of western art integrating the central artistic roles women have regularly played. It looks closely at the people, objects, and ideas that shape our understanding of art, bringing overlooked stories and unexpected connections into view.
